Canvas Tent Lodging Rules, Regulations & Policies

We strive to make our campground a safe, enjoyable place for all guests, and have established the following rules and regulations to maintain safety and courtesy. Those who do not observe these rules will be asked to leave our campground without any form of refund.

OCCUPANCY:

Our tents are a modest 12×12 outfitted with one cot that sleeps 2 people comfortably. Because of it’s size, this tent is limited to 2 adults and 2 children. NO PETS are allowed in our Canvas Tents. 

AMENITIES:

To keep cost and maintenance down, our Canvas Tents do not include any bedding, or other camping supplies. It is only outfitted with a 2-person cot. There is a standard 3 prong outlet outside with power strip. We recommend bringing lanterns or other lighting, portable fan or AC.  Fire ring and picnic table also provided. 

LOCKS:

Our Canvas Tents do not lock or have the ability to be locked. We recommend keeping all valuables locked in your vehicle.

PET POLICY:

No pets are allowed in our Canvas Tent or allowed on Canvas Tent sites. 

MINIMUM BOOKING:

Minimum 2 night stay for booking. We are a nightly campground. Guests may book no more than 9 nights on one site. 

PARKING:

Gravel parking for maximum 2 cars provided. DO NOT drive or park on the grass in front of the tent. Vehicles must remain on the gravel at the Canvas Tent sites. 

CLEANING FEE:

To keep maintenance costs down, our cleaning policy is “leave it how you found it”. ALL belongings, trash, personal belongings, and other items MUST be removed from the tent, deck, grass area and fire ring by the guest upon checkout. Cot must be in the same location within the tent. All windows and doors must be fully zippered shut. ANY article of trash or other belonging left in the Canvas Tent will immediately activate a $100 cleaning fee charged to the guest.

OTHER RULES:

  • No Smoking in or around the Canvas Tent within 25FT
  • No pets in or around the Canvas Tent or on the Canvas Tent site
  • No fires, candles, or other open flames in or within 25FT of the Canvas Tent
  • Online Terms and Conditions form MUST be filled in and signed before Check-In 

CANCELLATION POLICY, REFUNDS & PAYMENT TERMS:

PAYMENT AND BOOKING TERMS: If your booking date is within 14 days of your reservation date, full payment is due at the time of booking. If your booking date is over 14 days from the reservation date, 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, and the balance is due 14 days from the reservation date. If the balance is not made at the due date, your reservation may be cancelled without notice. To pay the balance of your reservation, use the link in your reservation confirmation email or call us to make a payment at 814-594-6232. To receive another copy of your reservation confirmation email, please call or email us at booking@riverviewcampsites.com.

Acceptable payments are Credit Card, Debit Card, or Camp Credit. NO Cash accepted. All reservations must be made online or by calling 814-594-6232. Campground staff, management, and hosts will NEVER accept cash payment on-site for reservations, including same-day reservations. To make a reservation on-site, please call our off-site office at 814-594-6232 to complete a reservation and have a site assigned to you. 

CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS:

All cancellations are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. The remaining balance of the deposit or full payment for the site can be refunded or used as a credit for a future stay. If original payment has been made from Camp Credit, refunds will only return to your Camp Credit account. Once a balance becomes Camp Credit, it is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and will not expire. No refunds are given past the reservation start date. 

There is NO refund or Camp Credit transfer if you are cancelling on the date of your reservation, or if you do not arrive for your reservation. NO refunds are given on or after the reservation date.

Camping is an outdoor activity – NO cancellations after the reservation start date are issued refunds due to whims of nature.

There are no refunds given for no shows, early departures, or inclement weather.

To cancel your reservation, please open your reservation confirmation email and use the Order Details link to cancel online OR call Riverview Campsites at 814-594-6232.

More info about cancelling online: Reservations can only be cancelled online if the reservation was paid for using a single card and that card is valid at the time of cancellation. If you are within the refund window and cancel online, your balance minus the cancellation fee will be automatically refunded to the card on file. If the card used at the time of reservation is not active and you are within the refund window, please call us and we will refund your payment to a different card. You may only cancel online on or before your arrival date. 

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:

You may arrive at your Canvas Tent no earlier than 1pm on the date of your reservation and must be out of the park no later than 11am on the morning of your reservation end date. For extensions and special circumstances, please call us.

SPEED LIMIT:

10 mph. Please observe our speed limit to ensure the safety of all our guests. Remember…children are playing!

QUIET TIME:

10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

CHILDREN:

Guests are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children. All children under the age of 13 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.

SAFETY AFTER DARK:

To ensure safety after dark, please carry a flashlight.  

TRASH:

Please place all garbage in designated trash receptacles. Fire pits are NOT trash cans. Please DO NOT burn trash.

CAMPFIRES:

Campfires are NOT permitted outside of the designated fire rings. Please do not move fire rings.

SHOWER HOUSE:

Shower house is open to current overnight guests only. No public restrooms. Shower house is closed daily for cleaning, and will be open with limited hours in the off-season / non-holiday weekends. 

PORTABLE GRILLS:

Grills are allowed at Riverview Campsites. Please use all safety and cautions when operating portable grills. DO NOT dump charcoal outside the grill. Let cool completely and dispose in fire rings ONLY, not in trash receptacles.

CAMPFIRES:

Fires are only to be burned within the provided fire rings and are not to be moved from their location. Any burning outside fire rings are subject to a $50 charge. 

GENERATORS:

Quiet generators (60 dB max. at 5 feet) are permitted at all hours at Riverview Campsites. We understand that the use of generators may be a necessary part of camping for some guests, and a nuisance for others. We have chosen to allow generators for convenience and safety to our guests that require electronic medical devices, air conditioning/heat, and other amenities. REMINDER: 2024 policy requires generators be UNDER 60 dB at 5FT. We WILL enforce this rule. Please check that your generator is UNDER 60 dB at 5FT distance, or you will be required to turn it off for the remainder of your stay. 

CLOTHESLINES:

Clotheslines are not permitted.

TREES, PLANTS, AND LAND:

Do not cut trees or plants in Riverview Campsites. We have firewood for sale at the campground, and allow locally sourced wood to be brought in to burn. Damages to trees, plants, or land in Riverview Campsites by axes, vehicles, or other tools, are subject to criminal changes for vandalism. 

FIREWORKS AND FIREARMS:

Use of fireworks and firearms is prohibited including BB, Air-soft, and pellet guns.

PETS:

Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome at Riverview Campsites. All dogs must be kept on leashes (six-foot maximum length) or inside and must not be left unattended. No excessive barking allowed. Dogs must be walked by a responsible person to pick up after them immediately. Dogs are not allowed in or near any buildings, bathrooms, or play areas. They are prohibited due to health codes.  Maximum of 3 dogs allowed per campsite.

Horses: Riverview Campsites does not currently accommodate horses. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

RIVER SAFETY:

No Lifeguard is on duty. Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult (18 years or older). Anyone behaving in an unsafe or destructive manner in the river will be asked to leave the premises. Please take caution when fishing in the river and stay a safe distance away from other visitors when casting your line. Swimmers take caution and wear proper footwear as fishing hooks and other sharp objects may be in the water.

VISITORS:

Current guests are allowed visitors during their stay at Riverview Campsites. Visitors are asked to park in the gravel parking area near sites 15-16 if there is not room at the campground guest site. Visitors are expected to read and adhere to all campground guidelines. Campground guests are responsible for their visitors: guests are liable for any destruction or vandalism caused by their visitor. All visitors must leave the campground by 9 p.m.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES:

No ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, side-by-sides or other motorized vehicles EXCEPT golf carts are allowed to be driven in the campsite. Please respect the grass areas and only drive on the gravel paths and remain within the speed limit at all times.

VEHICLE REPAIRS:

Vehicles and RV repairs are not permitted in the campsite unless it is an emergency. Please notify the camp host that you will be needing emergency repairs. Camp hosts cannot assist in repairs to any equipment. You may check with the local listings for businesses that provide these services.

VIOLATION OF THESE GUIDELINES:

Grounds for ejection from the campground without refund

MAIL SERVICE:

There is no on-site mail service for the campsite. The towns of Benezette and Driftwood have a local post office. Please check their website for hours of operation.

FORMS OF PAYMENTS:

We accept all Major Credit Cards during online booking. Sorry, no other form of payment is accepted at this time. If you need a special circumstance, please call us.

OTHER CAMPSITE GUIDELINES

  • Ground disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into sewer drains. Do not put grease down the sewer.
  • Sewer connections are required by state law and must have a tight seal by a sewer donut (or sewer ring) or a screw-type connector.

 

MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE, LIMIT THE LENGTH OF STAY AND THE NUMBER OF PERSONS OR VEHICLES PER SITE AND/OR EVICT ANY PERSON OR PARTY WITHOUT REFUND.

CAMPING IS AN OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE; THEREFORE, WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS DUE TO WHIMS OF MOTHER NATURE.
